Road Trip: Nauvoo, IL and Memphis, TN

We headed to Nauvoo after our amazing 5 days in Chicago. We arrived in Nauvoo around 3am. The hotel we stayed at left our key in an envelope since its a small town and did not have employees working around the clock. Well... Bryce and I unlocked our room and put our room key and cells on the desk when checking the room out. We then decided to go get our bags... when we came back the door was LOCKED! The room has to be unlocked with a key whenever opening the door. So we slept in the car until 7am when the hotel lobby opened up:/ it was a long night.

 Navoo play.

After Navoo we headed to Memphis, TN. Our last stop before arriving home. We stayed at the sweetest b&b. She had breakfast ready in the morning for us.

We visited the Memphis Zoo!

We rode a camel!!

Really excited but a little scared to step out on the ledge.

We were on the 103rd floor!

It was really cool:)

Love all the sculptures and fountains!

Mini Chicago.

Best Popcorn in the world! Love love LOVE!

Oh my Chicago's deep dish pizza is delicious!

Tuesday: Spent all day at the ART INSTITUTE!! This is the number 1 on my list to do in Chicago and was my absolute favorite! We saw some famous work and the exhibits was so cool.

The Art Institute!

One of the best exhibits, the miniature rooms. Loved it! Many tiny rooms with details from that period.

Paper weight exhibit.

The museum was filled with different collections from all over the world.

I love the Buda statues.

Native American room was very interesting.

African masks.

Italian knight.

They had lots of my favorite artist Claude Monet's work and many others.

My favorite was the Impressionist, Fashion, and Modernity it's a special exhibit, so I could not take photos:( They had well known fashion paintings and the clothing, accessories that were similar to the one in the painting.

That night we heard some great blues at Buddy Guy's Legend and visited the BEAN!!
